What does it mean to be human when your capabilities far sur those of others in every way?
What does such power do to a person and their ability to relate to other people and fit into the world around them?
Questions many anime protagonists should face, but conveniently don't, but looking at established tropes in interesting ways is exactly what the author does in all his works.
On the surface, absurd high school comedy full of intentionally overplayed shonen tropes. Only shows it's true colors in the second season and a little towards the end of the first, but there's a surprising amount of foreshadowing in hindsight.
Unfortunately the interesting ideas suffer from bad execution, especially how long it takes for any kind of narrative to surface, but might be interesting for fans of the genre or author.
