At the dawn of time, the gods ruled the universe under the leadership of the mighty Tentei. But suddenly, the ferocious general, Taishakuten, appears, and brutally slaughters Tentei! Brandishing Tentei's severed head, Taishakuten declares that a new age has begun, and all who oppose him will die horribly.

Is there anyone alive powerful enough to defeat the evil Taishakuten and restore justice to the universe? Legend says that a shimmering six-pointed star will rise into the heavens and restore the world to a golden age.

The six points are six warriors, each with the power to move the stars and the hearts of all people. But now, there are only five; their brave leader Yasha; his companion, the noble child Ashura; the young, impetuous Ryuoh; the wise Karura; and Sohma, skilled in battle.

The devious Taishakuten will not surrender his reign so easily. He plots to undermine the courage of the warriors by leading them into a trap. Nobody suspects that the beautiful butterflies that descent into the charred remains of Yasha's village are really the messengers of the warriors' destruction. As Yasha is engulfed and snatched away by these fluttering demons, the remaining warriors' powers are put to the test. Can they rescue their leader from the palace of ice in which he has been imprisoned? And will they be able to find the sixth point of the star before Taishakuten overcomes them? Watch this intriguing adventure to find out!

this story deserves to be more of a series. but instead you get two stories that seem like the middle of a series, with no ending and no real beginning, though the history is given in flashbacks. The story would be fine, if it ended, but instead we get a lesson of friendship and a hanging plot. All this adds up to some enjoyment. With the powers the main character has, you are left wondering why she even needs friends and why she doesn't just trash all the enemy and end the story. Watch it if you are bored and want to see only part of a story that could've been so much more, but you'd rather not have a full deck. If you like Slayers, then watch Slayers again, this may be in a similar vein, but it's not really worth it.
The Sound gets a 4 for recycling a Toto sound clip from DUNE too much, indicating that there's probably alot more recycling of other clips from things I'm not familiar with.
The animation has a few pop ins, and then some people's heads are too small for their bodies at times. And also, the old vertical shaking of the screen for a rumble effect is used a few times...it's the cheapest effect ever. They did a decent job on all the magic effects, though.
It's just so sub par that you can get alot of other better anime and not waste your time here.
