As the title says, Welcome to Japan, Miss Elf! It's an anime about how an elf and later a dragon get to Japan (it should be called, Welcome to another world, Mr. Japanese). Except that instead of showing her/them the beauties of Japan, they return night after night to the same isekai world where they met. They literally spend more time there than on the streets of Japan. So instead of the expected walks around the city and trips around Japan, I'm watching fantasy again, which is more than enough this season. And the few ep. when they have "free time" is simply not enough. And the "trip" to the hot springs in ep. 8 seems like a sloppy topic to me, as if there were no other options than just the spa.
Finally, yes, the idea is interesting, but not fully realized. It reminds me of a sweet reincarnation that ended the same way, and instead of baking sweets and cakes, everything else was dealt with. for me 6/10

So very underrated. This is a very unique concept that I haven't seen done before, and it is executed beautifully. No overused gags, no super cliche concepts, no gimmicks. Just clean on every aspect. I was hooked on episode one.
Once in a while something like this comes along and you just wonder, "How did I miss this?" The testament of a superb series to me are two things:
1. Do the episodes fly by without realizing it?
2. How badly do I want another season?
The answers to this are yes and so badly. Do not skip this. Worth every instant.

Very cute, fun, a bit of isekai and sweet anime, this really surprised me that a simple story could be this much fun to watch. Characters are really loveable and really like the last episode about them visiting the mc's grand father. Really hope that there will be another season.

It uses elements of fantasy, slice of life, and romance to give us this ELATING tale! What if you could bring back someone from the land of your dreams and show them the sights? This PERFECTLY encapsulates what this fantasy concept would be like!
The transitions between the land of fantasy and reality are done quite well. At no point does it get boring or grating. It has the near perfect mix of chill and eventfulness. At times it can be slow, but at no moment does it overstay its welcome. It has VERY nice atmospheric vibe that keeps you wanting more. The ratio of romance and fantasy is simply WELL DONE!
If you enjoy a solid mix of the genres, I really wouldn't miss out on this one. The only negative really, is the fact that its so short!

Because of the boring cliches in the fanservice moments I wanted to give it a 6, but the overall normal quality of the story, interesting setting and normal non-open adequate ending, decided to leave it at 7.

It's gentle. I think this would be the best word to describe it. Positively slow paced, attentive to detail and very nice drawing, accompanied by good soundtrack. I may have had a bit bigger expectations for the series, its downer is the fact it is only 12 episodes long. Thus I think a lot of things are cramped together just to fit. It's really a curse for many series.
This series deserves another season and hopefully it gets one. Still, even if it does not, it's an alright watch. More than a time filler, less than a masterpiece.

What a breath of fresh air this series ended up being as this follows the MC who has the ability to go between fantasy world and modern Japan. The dynamic between the male and female characters was nice to watch, but this series has a good balance of different tones... be it cooking, exploring in the fantasy world or sight seeing in the modern world, it was a nice mix. In the end, this is a relaxing fantasy anime with some comedy sprinkled in.

What a sweet Isekai show! Animation is crisp and colorful, soundtrack is great and really contributes to the overall atmosphere, and the characters are very likeable - especially Marie which is exceptionally cute. The story is divided between the real world Japan and the "other world" (I'd guess most of it is in Japan but I didn't keep count) where in Japan the MC and Marie would visit places and - of course - enjoy a lot of Japanese food, while in the other world they'd go on adventuring, but not too much.
In the end we get a heartwarming story with a plot which is just secondary most of the time, there's no "main quest" or "big adventure" that comes into conclusion, only the bond and love between MC and Marie that grows and develops.
It's an easy 8.5/10 for me, especially because of Marie.
I can see there's much more source material remains in the manga as the anime covered about 30% or less of the manga, so here's to hoping for a 2nd season AND SOON!
